Two formats, one source
Both PrimeCoco concentrate and powder start from the same fresh, tender coconut water. Concentrate is produced by gently reducing the water content through low-temperature evaporation; powder takes that process further, dehydrating the liquid into a dry, instantly soluble format — no maltodextrin. Our manufacturing process guide walks through both production paths in detail.
Format is only the first decision in a larger sourcing process — if you are still scoping suppliers, MOQs and market compliance, start with our complete B2B sourcing guide.
Shelf life & storage
Aseptically packed concentrate holds for around 12 months in cold-chain storage (+4°C to −18°C). Powder goes further — 24 months under standard ambient storage. Its low moisture content makes it highly shelf-stable and far less sensitive to temperature swings in transit, which matters if your supply chain includes long warehousing periods.
Shipping economics
Powder is dramatically lighter per litre of reconstituted product, which lowers freight cost per finished unit — especially valuable on long-haul routes. Concentrate, on the other hand, is closer to a ready liquid base, which can simplify blending on a bottling line that is already set up for liquid inputs. Higher Brix (up to 82°) further reduces shipping weight per unit of finished beverage.
Formulation flexibility
Concentrate is available across a 60° to 82° Brix range — customisable to your specific dilution ratio, and covered in full in our guide to Brix levels. Powder reconstitutes at 75 g powder per 1 L of water for ready-to-drink applications but can also be used as a dry functional ingredient in protein powders, hydration sachets, and supplements.
Which should you choose?
Bottlers and RTD lines built around liquid inputs often default to concentrate. Brands that need a longer shelf life, lighter shipping weight, or a dry-mix format — sachets, smoothie blends, nutraceutical applications — typically lean toward powder. Request samples of each to evaluate before committing — 500 ml of concentrate or 500 g of powder, free product with courier at your cost.
